The 2nd WSO Fundraising Dinner
WSO hosted the 2nd Fundraising Dinner at “Robata Jones” in Artarmon on August 25th, 2025. Following the success of the previous dinner, 24 dinner tickets sold out in just one week.
Our guests, mostly the repeaters and their partners/friends, listened to the presentation given by Masato, the president of WSO, with keen interest and enjoyed the sumptuous ten-course Japanese banquet. We were so lucky to have “Naoko & Charity Boys” back to entertain us. The guests had a great time singing along with them and even dancing in the limited space.
The final amount raised in net profits, including donations from non-guests as well as a successful silent auction bid made in Canada, was $4,569.80, exceeding our wildest expectations by a significant margin.
Five of our eight students have recently passed their final examinations with impressive results and will shortly begin working as dentists, physiotherapists, or pathologists in Bangladesh.
$4,569.80 will cover the scholarships for our three remaining students for one year. All thanks to you, their dreams to serve less fortunate people as a dentist, a paramedic, or a nurse will soon come true!
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our generous guests and benefactors, the Robata Jones team (Shima-san, Mai-san and Kazu-san), who generously sacrificed their profits to support our cause, as well as to our dedicated board members and volunteers.
